The Daily Twerp
Yes, it may well be early but I’m happy to announce that we already have a winner for our Daily Twerp award. I’d like to announce that the driver of the taxi turning left off Ealing Broadway (by the lights, above the common) is our winner! Come up and get your prize, son.
This morning, as I was happily ambling along on my bicycle (obeying the law and still paying my taxes, by the way) a taxi decided that instead of waiting for the lights to turn green so that he could continue on his way, he would turn left down N Common Road, taking me with him. He did indicate to inform everyone that he was turning left but unfortunately for me and my poor heart he did so as he was turning. Nice work, dude. Of course, Mr Taxi didn’t look in his mirrors ’cause there ain’t no way a car’s getting through that gap! No siree. If I was going any faster, the silver MPV would have had a nice Katy-shaped dent in the side of it. Luckily, I had my wits about me (ō_Ô) and veered off down the same road screaming “What the hell???” as I went. The guy sheepishly apologised and sped off down the road leaving me to turn back on to the main road and recover.
MIRROR, SIGNAL, MANOEUVRE. It’s not that fucking hard.
